Liar’s Poker

--

A first hand account of the heyday of bond trading in the 80s centering on Lewis’s experience at Salomon Brothers. Originally published in 1989, there is plenty of the excess and debauchery that we associate with Wall Street in the 1980s: their role in the savings and loan banking issues and junk bond-fueled corporate raiders of the day as well as some inevitable foreshadowing of the subprime mortgage crisis that we all knew would resurface two decades later.
