Good To Great

First who… then what

Enjoyed this business classic that was chock full of aphorisms I’ve been using for years without knowing where they came from (“Rigorous not ruthless”, “Don’t compromise”, “first who … then what”, etc.). What resonated with me is how the good to great companies became great by taking a simple concept and implementing it with fanatical consistency-they built momentum from executing on what they knew they could be best at, what drove key metrics and what they had passion for doing.
